Artist’s Spotlight
Valen Valero
Painter, Sculptor
Valen Valero is an award-winning and recognized sculptor and visual artist who has participated in solo and group exhibits since 2001.
Hidden behind overlapping geometries and semi-legible writings are messages that reflect the artist’s emotional states and psychological suggestions that randomly surface during the painting process.
Dynamism in the artworks is achieved with the disappearance and reappearance of various geometries. Upon closer inspection and introspection, every line, quadrant, box, and other geometries that seem to “move” freely into each artwork represent the artist’s expanding artistic interest and creative journey as a product of time, experiences, and encounters – a different type of dynamism that reflects steady growth and development.
From a larger perspective, these artworks create a personal map that links the artist’s past, present, and future destinations.
Ms. Valero’s works are part of “Imagus: Rave of Art and Spaces“, the inaugural show of Imahica Art, and can be seen by visiting the art gallery at Wack-Wack, Mandaluyong City. For any inquiries about her artworks, please contact Imahica.
