As the founder of The Filipinas Institute for the Advancement of Arts and Culture (FILARTS), a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting Philippine arts and giving Filipino artists the recognition they deserve, Roy has exemplified a profound commitment to his craft.

Emerging from artistic hibernation in 2015, Roy embarked on a new journey by publishing the Filipino Artists Magazine—a platform that provided emerging artists and renowned masters of Philippine Art with a voice to freely express their artistic and nationalistic convictions. With his innate ability to conceive timely ideas and connect with the right individuals, Roy infused the Philippine art scene with an exhilarating vibrancy. Soon, invitations for local and international art shows and events flooded in, testament to his unwavering passion and dedication as the driving force behind FILARTS.

Roy has firmly established himself as a visionary pioneer in conceiving, facilitating, organizing, and promoting art exhibitions that showcase Filipino visual artists on the global stage. Notably, he received the prestigious Art Ambassador award in Malaysia from the National Academy of Arts, Culture & Heritage (ASWARA), Kuala Lumpur, and serves as the designated country head representing the Philippines at the Asedas Digital Art Society of Malaysia. Further, his appointment as the country president representing the Philippines at the esteemed International Art Acts global art organization solidifies his esteemed position in the international art community. Invitations to participate in international art exhibitions, camps, and symposiums have graced his career, amplifying his influence throughout Asia.

Roy’s dedication to amplifying Filipino artistic excellence is further exemplified through his venture into publishing several art books that highlight the remarkable achievements of Filipino artists. His recent publication, ‘Southeast Asian Artists Magazine,’ forges a bridge between the Philippines and its neighboring countries, facilitating a joint exploration of their unique arts and cultures. Additionally, Roy has been recognized internationally as a contributor to two esteemed art books: ‘Chengdu Modern Landscape Oil Painting Institute’ published in China and ‘The Bridge’ published in Malaysia.
