Renalli Trajano

Abstract Expressionist, Artist & Entrepreneur

Though Renalli uses abstraction—a language that delivers metaphors—her works are tied to recognizable scenes from her everyday life.

Renalli Trajano

Renalli has her hands full as the CEO and Creative Director of Artzap Studio, a design and digital marketing firm. Though she has a full-time job, she still makes time to paint at odd hours, staying up late and even skipping sleep to get more done. She has a lot of ideas she wants to get out there via her art, therefore she frequently works at a hectic speed. Her day work requires some creative thinking, but she is limited by the needs of her clients. This has meant that painting has become an activity she can fully embrace as her own.She pursued her interest in visual arts and design by majoring in Multimedia Arts at the De La Salle College of St. Benilde in Manila. She missed getting her hands dirty in implementing her ideas into artworks after college, employment, and establishing her own Creative & Marketing business, Artzap Studio. She found herself returning to her first love and found work-life harmony via her art. She shares her thoughts, emotions, and insights gained from her travels and life experiences through her artwork.

It’s not as clear-cut as one may think where abstraction ends and figuration begins. Renalli Trajano’s paintings are an enjoyable medium between the two extremes. She uses readily identifiable motifs to draw attention to certain topics and content by drawing inspiration from the form, color, and texture of everyday things. Abstract expressionism comes to mind when one thinks of Renalli’s paintings because of her use of earth tones combined with bright colors. Her paintings are very abstract, despite the fact that they portray recognizable elements of the actual world such as animals, people, and landscapes. She displays her enthusiasm by exposing the rawness of her feelings via the unrestrained expressions she creates in her artwork. Each piece of artwork is painstakingly produced with the intention of reflecting the roller coaster of feelings that the artist had experienced. She transports us inside the creative process of an artist. It is unpredictable, captivating, and stunning all at once.
