“Each passing second brings fresh inspiration, and each passing minute delivers a new dream. Every second is part of the overall journey and every tick of the clock erases it from existence.”
As a year-ender special, Imahica Art brings together sixty-four artists from all over the country in a festival of generosity, gift-giving, and the approaching holiday season. Paintings, sculptures, and mixed-media works provide an overview of the current art scene, showcasing the most recent masterpieces by artists ranging from the newly minted masters of the craft to some of the luminaries of contemporary art in the Philippines.
This show delves into significant human experiences by examining the idea of the present moment. It documents the phenomenon from every conceivable angle, documenting its numerous forms, types, feelings, sensations, responses, and passions. Although the end-of-year display inevitably features a diverse spectrum of viewpoints and perspectives, the artists are in unison with presenting the essence of presence, charity, artistry, and the gift of one’s self. The final display shows a one-of-a-kind arrangement of the individual artists’ strengths, ingenuity, and creativity.
The exhibition’s central theme is a reflection of the present, as the artists transform the past into a motivation to express themselves through shifting methods, the very process of transformation ends up being the primary vehicle for conveying their message.
As PREXENT explores the momentum fueling the aesthetics of the Filipino artist, it is also an opportunity to honor the artists whose contributions have been instrumental to the success of the gallery and to provide our audience with a fresh selection of their creative works. This display pays tribute to the year that has passed.
PREXENT is the honoring of the now – the quintessential moment of being, drifting from moment to moment. PREXENT is a celebration of sharing one’s creativity with the world. PREXENT is what and who we are to one another – a gift of existence emerging from our innate capacity to share ourselves with humanity.
