Rara Carrillo
Hailing from Zamboanga, Rara Carrillo acquired skills in jewelry design, painting, and wood carving from her family. She further honed her artistic abilities by participating in art workshops in Manila and delving into pyrography at NBP Muntinlupa. Her pursuit of fine arts education led her to study at PWU. She has showcased her artwork in exhibitions held in various locations, including the Commonwealth of the Northern Marianas Islands, Buenos Aires, Paris, London, and the Philippines. Alongside her artistic endeavors, she is actively engaged in advertising, branding, and serves as a marketing art director. However, she regards motherhood as her most significant achievement.
Rara Carrillo is passionate about expanding her artistic knowledge and is particularly interested in mindfulness, spirituality, wood burning, wood carving, and painting on wood. Her preferred themes revolve around nature and culture.
In Carillo’s words, “Art serves as my means of expressing the interconnectedness between nature and humanity. I am dedicated to using my art to raise awareness and inspire actions that contribute to the preservation of our environment and the cultivation of a harmonious relationship between humans and the natural world.
