Peter James Fantinalgo

Hailing from Capiz, Peter James Fantinalgo is a multidisciplinary artist with an interest in research-based projects. He is currently based in Iloilo City as the Assistant Academic Supervisor of the Bachelor of Fine Arts program of the University of San Agustin. Fantinalgo’s innovation and creativity has let him explore projects like sculptures, installations, performance and sound. He devotes himself to integrating culture and the arts in his artworks. 

Fantinalgo has been actively participating in exhibitions, both solo or group ones, conducted within the Philippines. His first solo exhibition was entitled “Illusion Allusion” at Gallery Orange, in Bacolod City, Philippines where he showcased photorealistic paintings. Through passion and technique, Fantinalgo was also able to exhibit a collection of works that delves into his current research on the Visayan Birha and his immersion and collaboration with Wooden Living Furniture and Crafts.
