Nancy Lee
Nancy Lee is a Filipino-Chinese contemporary artist based in Cavite, Philippines, recognized for her evocative mixed-media paintings. Her work explores themes of resilience, imperfection, and transformation, using a distinctive combination of acrylic paint, gilding sheets, texture paste, and resin. By blending raw, tactile elements with refined finishes, Lee creates visually compelling narratives that reflect the complexities of the human condition in the modern era.
Currently completing her Bachelor of Fine Arts, majoring in Painting, at GK College, Nancy’s academic pursuits deeply inform her artistic practice. Her work draws on personal experiences, environmental concerns, and cultural identity, merging these influences into a cohesive visual language.
Nancy has exhibited her work both locally and internationally, with a significant milestone being her first international showcase in Paris earlier this year. Beyond her studio, she is an active advocate for animal rescue, leveraging her art as a platform to raise awareness and support for this cause.
