Mustacheboii

Mustache Boii is a Filipino visual artist who excels in both traditional and digital arts. His unique artistic identity centers around digital illustrations and canvas paintings that feature mustached characters resembling himself—a long-haired, raggedy figure with a nevus under his eye and a distinctive curly mustache. These characters exist in a variety of personalities, reflecting the artist’s diverse inspirations.

Much of Mustache Boii’s work draws from his daily life experiences, the places he’s visited, and the people he’s encountered online, whose stories he vividly brings to life using a pastel palette. His color choices are inspired by the American animated series “Adventure Time,” adding a whimsical and nostalgic touch to his art. With a background in digital animation, Mustache Boii works as a 3D sculptor, creating digital sculptures that are often transformed into 3D-printed figures and toys. This combination of skills allows him to bridge the gap between digital and physical art forms, bringing his imaginative characters into the tangible world.

In 2023, Mustache Boii showcased his work at several exhibitions, including “Flat View” at Meatspace Art Gallery, “LIMBUS” at Kanto Gallery, “Artspot Tagaytay,” and “Nothing Personal” at Meatspace Art Gallery. Continuing into 2024, his work was featured in “Time Flies” at Meatspace Art Gallery. Mustache Boii’s art continues to captivate audiences with its blend of personal storytelling, vibrant colors, and the seamless integration of traditional and digital techniques. His ability to translate everyday experiences into compelling visual narratives makes him a distinctive and influential figure in contemporary Filipino art.
