Mel Clemente

Mel Clemente is a contemporary abstractionist painter who lives in Cavite, Philippines. Her distinctive personal style expresses a vibrant spirit that emanates faith, hope and love. Mel reveals an appealing perception of space and depth through a poetic interplay of interesting shapes.

She uses acrylic as her main medium for her arts using a limited palette of colors. She sometimes uses other materials wherein she combines them to create a more interesting look and to achieve a myriad of palpable textures and moods with every confident brush stroke. Her remarkable versatility is a tribute to her sensitivity to her subjects and keen observation skills.

Mel started her career in 2021. She is a self-taught artist. With a relentless desire to advance her professional skills, Mel is currently attending a one on one art workshop with some of the master artists in the country. Furthermore, with the help of other artist friends, she immediately develops her talent by applying all the knowledge and wisdom that has been shared to her. Slowly but surely, she has become more mature in her arts. She is a proud member of Arts Association of the Philippines. Mel has participated in several group shows and planning to have her first solo show by year 2023.
