Len-Len
I am Len-Len, a mother to three children (a neurodivergent and visually impaired son, a seven year old daughter, and a dead infant). I am an artist whose domestic terrain serves as my studio and my daily undertakings a repository of musings and narratives which I consider an indispensable tool for my creative process. Ignited by my parents’ artistic inclination, I spent considerable amount of time journaling, creating my own toys and storybooks, and collecting family memorabilia as a child. At present, I see myself as a memory collector safeguarding mementos and relics that I have kept over the years. I heavily rely on them as inspiration for my art-making. I see them as tangible representations of milestones, dereliction and victories, temporal and spatial emblems of myself and my family’s existence.
