Lea Zoraina Lim
Lea Zoraina Lim, a versatile artist, educator, and Maguindanaon storyteller, was born in Cotabato City, Maguindanao. Her creative endeavors delve into themes of impermanence, memories, dreams, and narratives. Drawing inspiration from her Maguindanaon heritage, her recent artistic creations explore and scrutinize Maguindanaon folklore to raise awareness about the significance of preserving and nurturing our invaluable cultural legacy. Possessing a Master’s Degree in Fine Arts, Lea has been involved in exhibitions and discussions both in the Philippines and internationally, with notable appearances in Spain, Italy, China, Belgium, Luxembourg, and Germany. Notably, she made history as the first female artist to receive the Grand Prize in the esteemed MADE (Metrobank Art and Design Excellence) art competition, earning accolades for her groundbreaking work in experimental animation and video production.
