Karla Maria Fabon, known as karlikha, is an emerging Filipina self-didactic painter. Outside her creative sphere, she works as a corporate lady. She started exploring more of her artistic simulacrum during the recent pandemic. In her journey, she ascertains the therapeutic reverberation of art, particularly on mental health. As an artist, she relishes creating different visages of botanical pieces with innovative approaches and experimental styles such as abstract expressionism and fauvism techniques. karlikha revels in learning and exploring various beauties of nature as she translates them into creative narratives on canvas. Since 2023, she has been participating in several art shows locally and internationally. Her art has been featured in several coffee table books. Last year, karlikha was included in Top 35 Women featured in by Gateway Gallery and Quarto Arts & Events in “She Made It” exhibit. This year she continues being part of Gateway’s women empowerment through art exhibit in “Her Time is Now”.
karlika is also one of the co-founders and artists of Obra’t Liham, a group of upcoming young and vibrant visual Filipino artists that aims to revive the culture of handwritten letters and to make art accessible to the public through postcards. Aside from being involved in the business and artistic world, she is also a mental health advocate and member of Philippine Mental Health Association, Inc. . Her artistic journey has led her to be passionate in supporting and spreading awareness of giving importance to mental health. All her works are products of her imaginative and contemplative creative sessions.
