Judith Basco

Fiber Artist

Judith Basco is a modern weaver and teacher for fiber arts. Her affinity to yarns started in 2017 and has explored a variety of practices since–weaving, crocheting, knitting, macrame, and latch & locker hooking. She started an Instagram called theartofyarn as a gallery for her works and later on started opening classes for kids and adults. A huge part of her learning also comes from the experience of teaching her practice to others, and she wishes to present more interactive art in the future to encourage more people to learn how to weave. Her recent works focus on weaving tapestries and optical illusions. You may find her on her floor loom at her shared art studio Habitat 570 in Pasig together with tattoo artist Bjan Bernabe.
