Joel Reglos
Growing up as an observant child, Joel developed the aptitude of seeing things in a different way, this made him want to display reality in a way that is seemingly impossible in real life. He believes that it is not always necessary to portray the same exact image that is visible to us. So, instead of painting what he sees, he put into his masterpieces how these things make him feel.
At the age of 21, he discovered his own style to reveal his own sentiments in the best possible way, which for him is working in acrylics, mixing unique colors, producing dynamic textures, nondescript shapes, and line arrangements – turning these elements into uniquely expressive and harmonious compositions.
Joel has held several solo and group exhibitions in Manila. Among his awards are being a finalist in the non-representational category of Robinsons Land National Painting Competition, 2020 and honorable mention in the non-representational category of the Robinsons Land National Painting Competition, 2018.
