JC Sicam

JC Sicam

Home cannot be severed from the images found in the works of JC Sicam. His works reflect the life he came to know in his hometown, Isabela, where farming has taken an integral role in the area. It comes to no surprise then that the artist also tells of the plight of farmers in his practice. Witnessing how they are bound and tied to a system that deliberately neglects their welfare, the artist conveys their troubles even to the form of his canvas. However, he does not paint them in a helpless light, but that of awareness and a desire to break away. JC Sicam has been participating in art competitions since 2015. He also graduated from Cagayan State University with a BSIT in Architectural Drafting.
