Jay Condeno

Hailing from Catanduanes, Philippines, Jay Condeno completed his Bachelor of Fine Arts Major in Painting at the University of the East Caloocan. He utilizes a distinctive painting medium, employing handmade paper crafted from Abaca waste materials—an innovation he personally developed over the years.

In 2023, he achieved national recognition as a finalist in the M.A.D.E. (Metrobank Art & Design Excellence) competition. Jay was also honored as an Outstanding Caramoran Youth Innovator & Artist by the Caramoran Foundation. His artistic contributions extend to various group exhibitions across the country, including notable showcases such as “Kaugnayan” at the Metropolitan Museum of Manila, “Sa Pagitan ng Gabi at Bukang-Liwayway” at NCCA Gallery, and “Cross Over” at Eskinita Gallery, among others.
