Janddie Castillo, an esteemed alumnus of Far Eastern University, Class of 1995, has earned the distinguished title of the “Master of Splash Art” from his artistic peers, owing to his innovative and distinct approach to visual art. His pioneering technique, a harmonious fusion of realism and impressionism with the dynamic interplay of splashes, splatters, and sweeping strokes, has propelled him into the forefront of the contemporary art world.
Harnessing his roots in the Far Eastern University Bachelor of Fine Arts program, Castillo embarked on a creative journey that would culminate in the birth of his hallmark style. Rooted in the splendor of nature, his subjects are imbued with life through his mastery of the Splash-Splatter Technique, or “wisik” in Tagalog. Born into a lineage of artistic excellence, Janddie Castillo draws inspiration from his father, the renowned visual artist Nelson Castillo, affectionately known as the “Father of Miniature Painting” in the Philippines.
