Ellie Gaudite

Ellie Gaudite’s journey as an artist began in her teenage years, and since then, she has dedicated herself to honing her craft. As a Fine Arts student at the esteemed University of the Philippines, she continues to refine her visual art skills, delving deeper into the nuances of her chosen medium.

In today’s digital age, Ellie leverages the power of social media platforms and actively participates in gallery exhibitions to showcase her artwork to a wider audience. However, her passion for art extends beyond personal expression; she also finds fulfillment in sharing her knowledge and expertise with others. By teaching art classes to children at Skills & Drill Dance + Art Studio, Ellie not only imparts technical skills but also fosters creativity and self-expression in the next generation of artists.

As an artist, Ellie’s work is characterized by its technical intricacy and profound depth. She explores the realm of psychological visual realism, using her art as a means of introspection and self-exploration. Through her figures, Ellie delves into themes of identity, particularly her experiences as a Filipino woman, and offers insightful observations on the world around her. Each piece she creates tells a story, weaving together elements of personal narrative and universal truths.

While Ellie is adept at working with various mediums, her true passion lies in oil painting and watercolor. In her oil paintings, she employs techniques that blur the lines between reality and abstraction, inviting viewers to explore the complexities of the human experience. Conversely, her watercolor works showcase her mastery of spontaneity, as she effortlessly captures the essence of human figures with fluid brushstrokes. In essence, Ellie Gaudite is an artist and a storyteller, using her art to convey profound messages and ignite meaningful conversations. As she continues to evolve and experiment with her craft, her unique perspective and unwavering dedication promise to leave an indelible mark on contemporary art.
