Cling Vega

Cling Vega

Cling Vega’s artistic journey began with inspiration from her grandfather, a commercial artist, sparking a lifelong love of nature that shines through in her paintings and her commitment to sustainable practices, such as recycling and material experimentation. Her path has been shaped by self-discovery, continuous learning from her peers, and a dedication to art as a means of personal expression and mentorship for emerging talents. In 2020, Vega founded Bulan Art Farm, now Kawayan Art Space, as a nurturing environment for young artists in Iligan City. This space has become a vibrant community hub, hosting exhibitions that highlight local and regional talents. Vega has also actively participated in prominent group exhibitions, including Bukog (2018), Makati Contemporary (2019), and the Mindanao Art Fair (2021–2024). She organized events such as the Ebony group’s debut exhibition at the Mindanao Art Fair (2022–2024) and Cebu TUBO Art Fair (2022–2024), underscoring her commitment to fostering emerging artists. In December 2023, she showcased her latest assemblage works at Reboot, Artepintura Gallery’s year-end exhibit. Recently, in 2024, she furthered her dedication to growth and community engagement by attending a 14-day immersion program with Lawig Diwa. Through these experiences, Vega continues to expand her artistic reach and deepen her role as both an artist and mentor in the community. ART EXHIBITS Febuary 24, 2023.
