Alfonso Recto

Alfonso Recto (b. 1985) is a Filipino artist celebrated for his emotive abstract and figurative works. Influenced by artistic movements like Cubism, Abstract Expressionism, and Surrealism, he has developed a distinctive, primal style that is both spontaneous and raw. His creative process is fueled by diverse interests, including music, cinema, literature, science, philosophy, and martial arts, allowing him to create art that is a true reflection of himself.

With numerous solo and group exhibitions in the Philippines, as well as in Korea and Vietnam, Recto has garnered recognition for his unique approach.
