Alexandra Monserrat, born in 2001 in Antipolo, is pursuing an undergraduate degree in Studio Arts – Painting at the University of the Philippines Diliman, College of Fine Arts. Actively engaged in academic and artistic endeavors, Alexandra is a member of various art collectives, including Bloom, ARTipolo inc., and Neo Angono Art Collectives. Since 2018, she has exhibited her work in numerous venues across the Philippines and Singapore, earning accolades along the way, including being named one of the 25 finalists in the NSAC Shell competition in 2020 in the oil category.

Her artistic practice revolves around themes of Feminism, female expression, self-discovery, theatre, and portraits. Embracing a diverse range of media, including painting, sculpting, and poetry, Alexandra is committed to exploring the complexities of the human experience. Curious by nature, she approaches her art with a spirit of inquiry, seeking to reflect her questions and answers in her pieces. For Alexandra, art transcends mere aesthetics; it catalyzes emotion and thought.

Throughout her artistic journey, Alexandra confronts societal norms and challenges the conventional notions of beauty and femininity. Through her paintings and sculptures, she seeks to convey vulnerability and authenticity, inviting viewers to engage in a dialogue about the complexities of gender and identity. Embracing the messy and unfiltered aspects of human existence, Alexandra uses her art as a vehicle for rebellion and self-expression, striving to provoke thought and emotion in all who encounter her work.
