Luding Sangreo

RODITO ” Ding ” SANGREO – Born on May 11, 1964 at Polangui Albay, He now resides in his studio at Bagong Silang North Caloocan. Ding is a very prolific sculptor, starting his career in 1983 up until now. He specializes in wood sculpture and his great masterpieces are more on classical religious sculptures. Most of his works were inspired by models from classical antiquity and had a lasting influence on the art movement called ” mannerism” , a style that emerged in 1950 which refers to a stylized exaggerated approach to sculpture and painting.

Ding also collaborated with some renowned artists working in a range of disciplines and schools. Whenever given the opportunity he also joined group exhibitions and sculpture competitions to showcase his works and also gained recognition as well. For now Ding is busy preparing for invitational shows and his upcoming solo show.
