Pandy Aviado Selected Works from the 1980s

MANILA, Philippines – Imahica Art presents Pandy Aviado Selected Works from the 1980s, an online exhibition featuring a rare selection of works by Filipino artist Pandy Aviado created during a formative and experimental period in his practice.

The exhibition revisits Aviado’s lyrical visual language through mixed media and intimate works on paper shaped by memory, symbolism, literature, and personal reflection. Created during the 1980s, the featured pieces also reflect the cultural atmosphere surrounding Aviado’s creative exchanges and collaborations, including his connection to National Artist for Literature Rolando S. Tinio.

Through layered textures, handwritten elements, dreamlike imagery, and restrained compositions, the exhibition offers viewers a glimpse into an important chapter of the artist’s evolving practice and contribution to Philippine contemporary art.
