Jojoy Zabala

Jojoy Buan Zabala is from Angeles City, Pampanga in the Philippines. He graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the Far Eastern University in Manila. He has consistently performed well in notable national art competitions. He is one of the participating artist representing the Philippines in the XIV Florence Biennale in Italy, 2023.He has participated in numerous art exhibitions both locally and internationally. His adventure in abstraction have led him to explorations of transparency and opacity, with multilayered objects. He analyzes each element with the artist’s vision drawn from instinctual impulses, translation them into strokes, angles and forms that belie a more calculated side excited by straight lines and application of color gradients.
