Nante Carandang
Nante Carandang is a Filipino visual artist, cultural advocate, and community leader dedicated to promoting Philippine art both locally and internationally. He is the owner of Creation Art Gallery and Studio in Tuy, Batangas, and CREDO Art Gallery in Amadeo, Cavite. He also founded Pintor Kulapol and PARISUKAT, art groups based in Batangas.
Currently, he serves as Head Resident Artist at the Manila Clock Tower Museum and Consultant at Museo de Pacis Gallery Museum, Bulacan. A recipient of numerous awards-including Dangal ng Batangas Award for Visual Arts (2020), and the TALA Award for Visual Arts (2023), he has also won top honors at juried competitions both in the Philippines and the USA. His works have been exhibited in the Philippines, the United States, and Europe.
With over a hundred group shows and three solo exhibitions to his credit, he remains passionate about mentoring young artists in his hometown, offering free classes and sponsoring local art competitions. He believes that his art is a gift meant to inspire and uplift others.
