Artist’s Spotlight
Julie Lluch
Julie Lluch’s sculptures invite viewers into a deeply tactile world where clay becomes a storyteller. Through her mastery of terracotta, she crafts intimate, human forms that express identity, emotion, and experience in ways that feel both personal and universal. Her work avoids polished ideals and instead embraces the raw textures of the medium to communicate authentic narratives rooted in everyday life and memory.

Her exhibitions such as Chronicles on Skin and Yuta: Earthworks create immersive spaces where sculpture and story intertwine. Lluch uses her art to explore complex social themes and collective histories, transforming galleries into places of reflection and connection. Rather than presenting isolated pieces, she offers narratives built through the physical presence and interaction of her works.

Central to Lluch’s practice is the belief that sculpture is a powerful language for sharing stories. Over decades, she has shaped clay into voices that speak to identity, culture, and resilience. Through her art, Julie Lluch invites us to listen closely, seeing her sculptures not just as objects, but as living stories carved from earth and experience.
