RV Operio

The story of Rey Velasco Operio, affectionately known as “RV Operio,” is a testament to the journey of a talented individual from the vibrant region of Mindanao. Although he was born in the picturesque province of Iloilo, it was in Mindanao that he truly discovered his passion for art during his secondary education.

Rey’s educational odyssey eventually led him back to his roots, as he embarked on a quest for knowledge at the esteemed University of St. Augustine (USA) in Iloilo City. Here, he embarked on a path that would shape his artistic destiny, pursuing a degree in Bachelor of Science in Architecture.

In the early 1990s, driven by his dreams and aspirations, Rey made the pivotal decision to relocate to the bustling metropolis of Manila. His motivation was clear – to seek fortune and seize better opportunities that would allow him to nurture his artistic talent and cultivate his skills and experiences.

For nearly two decades, Rey Operio embraced the path of self-employment as a Portrait Artist and Visual Artist. His presence graced the halls of various shopping centers across Metro Manila, where his artistic talents illuminated the world around him. Through his dedicated work, Rey was able to captivate the hearts of many with his creative expressions.

Today, Rey Operio proudly holds the title of an in-house artist at the prestigious Fil Arts Gallery. This esteemed position not only underscores his artistic prowess but also speaks volumes about the recognition and appreciation he has garnered within the art community. He remains an ardent advocate for the exploration of his love for art. He enthusiastically participated in exhibitions whenever the opportunity arises, using these platforms to further share his creative vision with the world.

We are open from Monday to Saturday, 10 am to 6pm. Sundays by appointment only. We are closed on public holidays.
