Zambarrano’s artistic journey began with a strong educational foundation. He obtained a B.S. in Industrial Technology majoring in Drafting, as well as a B.S. in Architecture from the Iloilo Science and Technology University (ISAT-U). His multidisciplinary background in both technology and architecture has undoubtedly influenced his artistic approach, enabling him to create works that seamlessly blend aesthetics with profound conceptual depth.

In 2012, Zambarrano’s artwork titled “Homecoming” was selected as the Jurors’ Choice in the Philippine Art Awards national finals, marking a significant milestone in his career. Additionally, he successfully passed the Architecture licensure exams, showcasing his versatility and expertise in multiple artistic disciplines.

While many emerging artists opt to migrate to the bustling art scene in Manila, Zambarrano chose to stay in Iloilo City. There, he established his own studio called The Red Table, which has become a sanctuary for himself and fellow artists, serving as a space for creative exploration and the exchange of ideas. Zambarrano’s decision to remain rooted in his hometown demonstrates his commitment to his community and his desire to contribute to the local art scene.

Zambarrano’s artworks often tackle profound themes, inviting viewers to contemplate the complexities of the human experience. Among his notable achievements, he was a finalist in the Metrobank Art and Design Excellence sculpture category in 2016, a recipient of the ISAT-U Alma Mater Award for Outstanding Achievements in the Field of Art and Architecture in 2015, and a Juror’s Choice Awardee in the Philippine Art Awards National Finals in 2012 at the National Museum of the Filipino People.

Zambarrano’s artistic endeavors have been showcased in solo and group exhibitions throughout the Philippines. His solo exhibits, such as “Arisgado” at ArtCube Gallery in Makati City in 2023 and “Artificial Fear” at Pinto Museum in Antipolo City in 2021, have allowed him to present his unique artistic vision to a wider audience. In addition, his participation in group exhibits, including “Raising Green” and “New Abnormal,” both online fundraising art exhibits in 2020, and “Sampayan” at Pinto Museum in 2021, have further solidified his position as a prominent contemporary artist.

Zambarrano’s impact extends beyond his exhibitions. He has collaborated with fellow artists in two-man exhibits such as “Dagu-ob” with Sabrec at Gallery-I in Iloilo City in 2018 and “Psychedelic Collaboration” with Roedil Geraldo at House of Frida in Bacolod City in 2017. These collaborations not only showcase his versatility but also demonstrate his commitment to fostering artistic dialogue and pushing the boundaries of artistic expression.
